GERHARD VAN STADEN
Gerhard is one the most talented strongmen that emerged on the South African scene the last couple of years. At the Loskop Strongman 2008 Gerhard came last. A year later 2009 he caused quite a stir by defeating a few experienced strongmen and achieved a very well earned 6th place and everybody took notice of his talent. Then came 2010 - April at he Rand Show, World Strongest man qualifier - and Gerhard demolished all the other SA competitors. The overhead weight toss ( an event that he has never done before ) he smashed the SA and All Africa record. Gerhard is without doubt one of the favourites to challenge Etienne Smit for the 2010 SA Strongest Man title. Gerhard is really committed - he travel from Krugersdorp to train at Oxygen. At only 26 years for age ( quite young to be a competitive strongman ) Gerhard will without doubt be South Africa`s strongest man for many years to come - Welcome Gerhard and it really is a privilege to train with you.
